My teaching assignments: This year I will be teaching the 1/2/3 class as well as K-3 Music and Jr. High Band. 

My educational background and experience:

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Psychology and a Bachelor of Primary/Elementary Education Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. I taught for 2 years in Chateh, AB (Grade 3 and Kindergarten) before moving to Dixonville. This will be my 6th year teaching in the 1/2/3 classroom. 

About me:

I am married to Andrew Bullen (High School Science Teacher at Paul Rowe in Manning) and we have a 3 year old daughter Cecilia. We also have a 7 year old German Shepherd, Daxxon. We like to travel as much as possible, especially back East where all of our extended family lives. Whenever possible I love to read (anything and everything, including non-fiction audio books on the drive to work and fiction stories on the weekends). I also love to bake - anything with chocolate sounds good to me!  

What I love most about teaching?

I love the students. Watching them understanding a concept they have been struggling with and that light up they have as they catch on is amazing. I love the silly things they say. One well timed, student comment can be the highlight of the day. 

What I look forward to most this school year?

I am looking forward to having a small group where we can really work well together, build strong relationships and have a lot of fun together. I am very excited for this year!
